ABOUT BETH

Finance Leadership with Depth, Precision, and Perspective

Twenty years of building finance functions that work and the credentials, instincts, and people skills to match.

MEET BETH

I am a CPA and CMA with more than twenty years of finance and accounting leadership across manufacturing, CPG, SaaS, government contracting, professional services, and mission-driven organizations. Building finance functions from scratch, developing teams that actually stay, and leaving organizations stronger than I found them: that is the work I love most.

I am based in Austin, Texas. I start most mornings before sunrise, move intentionally, eat well, and take my sleep seriously. I believe deeply in the science of how people perform at their best.

Then there is Rook, my dog and daily reminder that the best things in life require presence, not performance. We have explored most hiking trails in Austin and love our time on the lake.

The Person Behind the CPA

What Lights Me Up at Work

  • Walking into a finance function held together with duct tape and spreadsheets and leaving it with a team that trusts the numbers.

  • The moment a founder stops worrying about the back office and starts focusing on where the business goes next.

  • Finding the upstream root cause of a problem everyone has been managing around for years

  • Watching a finance team develop and move from overwhelm to confident, from reactive to strategic.

I am known, across organizations and over many years, as someone who finds the thing nobody else will find — the anomaly in the data, the process that's been quietly creating errors three steps downstream, the assumption buried in a model that nobody has questioned since 2021.

WHAT I BRING TO THE WORK

The Combination That's Genuinely Rare

01

Precision That Goes All the Way Down

A reputation followed me early in my career that I didn’t seek out. Executives began asking me to review contracts and documents before signature, not because it was my job, but because they trusted that if something was off, I would find it.

That same precision applies to everything I do: financials, KPIs, dashboards, reporting architecture, workflow design, systems integrations. I notice the anomaly, the pattern that does not hold, the process nobody has questioned in years that is creating errors three steps downstream. Seeing clearly is foundational to transforming clearly.

02

CPA + CMA — The Full Picture

Most finance leaders carry one credential. I carry both, and they are not redundant. The CPA signals accounting depth, audit readiness, and GAAP compliance. The CMA signals operational finance: cost structures, margin analysis, KPI design, and the management accounting intelligence that drives business decisions.

Together, they mean I can operate at the technical accounting level and the strategic CFO level in the same engagement, without handing off either to someone else.

03

Twenty years of hands-on finance work across public companies, fast-growing consumer brands, multi-entity nonprofits, SaaS, government contracting, and manufacturing means genuine fluency at every layer: GAAP accounting, revenue recognition (ASC 606), cost accounting, inventory management, ERP migrations, close process redesign, audit leadership, and systems integration.

I do not recommend tools I have not worked inside or processes I have not redesigned myself. The technical credibility is earned, not assumed.

Technical Depth

04

Finance Leader and People Leader

At multiple companies, I have held dual responsibility for the finance function and the HR and people function simultaneously. That combination shaped how I build teams, manage change, and lead through uncertainty, skills that are essential when transforming a finance function, not optional.

My ICF coaching training deepens this further. I do not just redesign the system; I develop the people inside it. That is the difference between a transformation that holds and one that reverts the moment engagement ends.
